Samantha Bond (born 27 December 1961) is an English actress. Who has been acting since 1983.
Biography[]
Samantha Bond started her notable career in 1983 in Mini-Series, Mansfield Park were she played the role of Maria Betram. She carried on making small appearances in TV shows. Her next major part was in 1987 were she played the role of Liz Probert in Rumpole of the Bailey. Once again she made smaller appearances in TV shows and movies and from 1995 she made her debut performance in the James Bond series as Miss Moneypenny in GoldenEye.
She carried on maing various other appearances in the James Bond series;
- 1995: GoldenEye
- 1997: Tomorrow Never Dies
- 1999: The World is Not Enough
- 2002: Die Another Day
While in the James Bond series she still made several appearances in TV shows and movies. After she left the series of James Bond she started to star in major TV shows. From 2004 to 2006 she played the role as Kate Donovan in TV series, Donovan. In the same year she was casted as Lisa Shore in a TV series, Distant Shores. She bowed out the part in 2008.
In 2007, she made her debut performance in The Sarah Jane Adventures as Mrs Wormwood. She starred in two episodes and one special and bowed out the role completly in 2008, in Enemy of the Bane. In the same year she was casted as Angela in Outnumbered, from 2007 to 2011. She made a guest appearance in the final episode of the show in 2014.
Samantha Bond was casted in Downtown Abbey as Lady Rosamund Painswick. She started the role in 2010 and is still in the role in 2014. She is set to star in new TV series, Home Fires in 2015.
